SFI, Inc. / Vidrios Mundiales began in 1993 specifically targeted toward the Furniture and Hospitality Industries. Strategically located on the U.S./Mexican border, we could reach the Southwest U.S. and Mexican Manufacturing Market quicker and more aggressively than any other glass supplier in North America. From the beginning, our goal was to provide all decorative glass products required by these manufacturers so we would become a single source supplier to our customers. Each year more glass fabrication equipment was purchased and installed in our Tijuana, B.C., Mexico maquiladora factory until our goal became a reality. We had become the strongest, single source O.E.M. supplier to our target markets. In our quest to develop new products, we began to experiment with glass fusing. Quickly, we were contacted by companies in the Glass Tile Market and today manufacture several lines of Fused Glass Tiles under strict proprietary agreements with our customers. Throughout the years we were always surrounded by other entrepreneurs and incredible artists. In 2004, we began working with well-known designer and artist, Dale J. Evers, on a line of Cast Bronze Furniture and have the exclusive license to manufacture and distribute this line of tables to art galleries, hospitality and high end furniture retailers. We are also involved in the “Art In Healthcare” industry. Working closely with Farallon Design, of San Diego, CA and Optimist International, we consult and produce glass mosaic tiles containing metals, stones, shells and fused items along with exciting stained glass windows throughout the Children’s Cancer Center at Kaiser Hospital, in San Diego, CA. for a project known as “The Children’s Rainforest Project.” Our future plans are to continue to grow utilizing our wide range of fabrication capabilities while always keeping our eyes and ears open to the ideas of our customers and market leaders. |
